RMK was founded by Rebecca White and Andrew Norman in 2005. After being consistently disappointed with the supermarket ready meal offering, it only made sense to produce the type of food we enjoy eating ourselves - fresh, top quality ingredients, careful cooking and lots of imagination. All our products are made in a small traditional kitchen in small batches, this allows our finished products to be home made in appearance and taste. Our meals are simply cooked in pots and pans, as opposed to massive batches, harsh processing and modified atmosphere packaging (not to mention those nasty chemicals to extend shelf life) We soon noticed that the chilled products in the supermarkets were the current trend but also that chilled and fresh are two very different things!! In simple terms it is a bit like making your favourite recipe storing it in your refrigerator and eating it up to three week later!! We decided that the best way was to make our products and then freeze them (The most popular ‘granny’ style way to preserve food) which stops the deterioration process immediately.
